From Lana

Well here we stand on the edge of a brand new school year.  Our staff in service days were very productive and the staff is rearing to go.

As you may notice we have lost 2 staff members due to returning back to school.  While we will miss them we feel great about Vella and Francine working toward their education.

This is the time when we will be transitioning children to new groups.  Our official start of the school year will be the 14th of September so for the next two weeks we will be doing slow transitions.

Some Reminders to start the year off right.

Late pick up policy.  We do offer a 15 minute buffer time from 5:30 to 5:45.   Any parent who is late more than 3 times will no longer be able to use this time, and will be charged from 5:30.  The late pickup charge is $2.00 per minute to be paid to the teacher in charge at the time.   Our teachers work hard and are happy to be here with the children all day but as you may imagine at 5:30 they are tired and ready to go home and care for their own families.  Please be considerate of them.

Registration fees and supply lists.  Please see that you have paid the re enrollment fee of $105.00 and sent your child’s school supplies.   Remember the new tuition rates start September 1, 2015.  If your are unsure about your charge feel free to call me.

Infant 1 Ms Melanie and Ms. Sarah

September is here and the leaves are already changing color and falling.    Coral and J.D. are moving to the Infant 2 room and so far they are doing well on their visits.  Theodore is crawling and trying to figure out how to pull himself up on the shelves.  Nolan loves to flirt. Harlan loves to talk.  Ben loves to look at books.  We welcome Indira to our class and we will be welcoming Lynsey back soon.  This month’s songs are: “The more we play together” and “The ants go marching.  This month’s signs are Friends and More.

Parents please bring in premade bottles with your child’s name on them for the whole day they are here. Also please leave some extra formula just in case. This needs to be done in both classrooms, due to a change in regulations.

Infant 2   Ms.  Paula

Falling into September we will be observing the colors orange, yellow and green.  Our sign will be falling leaves .  Our friends will be working on developmental milestones.  Zadie has been visiting the toddler room and fits right in.  Eliza has been working hard on her rocking and reaching for toys then pulling herself back up. Ezra is pulling up and standing on his own.  Cassie is stacking 2 to 3 blocks by herself.  Rowan is a big one year old now and also standing by himself. Owen is having fun with his new friends and so friendly with everyone.  Everett is also standing up all by himself.  WOW they are all growing so fast

Toddlers  Ms. Moya  &  Ms Vie

Welcome to the month of September.  June, Zoey, Shawna and Quinn have moved up to another exciting group of friends.  We will miss them, they are having a great time and doing well.   Our theme for September   will be “All about Me” Please remember that as we move into cooler weather children will need warmer clothes since we will still try to get outside as much as we can. Remember to read notes posted in the classroom to keep up with what is going on.

Preschool  Ms Krista and Mr. Gavin

Another school year has begun and I am so excited. I truly enjoy watching these children grow and develop.

Here are a few things for parents and children that are new to the preschool room.  Our parent board  is located above the children’s cubbies. This contains information on special activities, our class schedule and a class copy of the newsletter.  Please make sure to check and clear children’s cubbies  daily.  This is how we get important information to you and send home your child’s clothes if they have an accident.  Please remember a light jacket so we can continue to play outside.  The theme for September is “All about ME” We will see and praise what makes us all different.  Check the parent board for things to bring in to help us along with this theme.

Pre K    Ms. Andrea

It’s that time again.  We are ready for a brand new school year.  I’m so looking forward to see what this new year brings us as we learn and grow together.  Please check the class list and make sure your child has everything they will need here at school.   We will be spending the first weeks getting to know each other, the rules and routine. We will still be spending as much time as possible outside so be sure your child has a jacket if it is cool.
